.....and it is such a good feeling.....although not new since she's been calling me Mom for years!My eldest son arrived home with a "new" girlfriend about 8 years ago. She was a lovely girl....very pretty and cute. I was very friendly and polite, but did not hold my breath that this would be the one. They were both very young at that stage and I thought that it would blow over soon..........but this girl was too clever for my son! She knew what she had found and she was not going to let go of this one!!
They got engaged about 2 or 3 years later..........and then one day she started calling me "Mom"......and I just knew it! She was the one! They tied the knot on 6 October 2007.........and I am proud to say that my daughter-in-law was possibly the most beautiful bride I have seen in a long long time!! And I am a very proud Mother-in-law......and I am hoping to be a very proud Granny one of these days......
